ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

In rural zones, family incomes essentially come from agriculture and cattle raising. Weak incomes resulting from these activities are not sufficient to cover all the needs. By supporting viable economic activities such as markets garden, dye works or soft factories, dairies, water selling, garbage collecting …, Eau Vive develops the economic potential of a zone and increases family incomes.

Women are a lot involved in these activities that allow them to reinforce their role in social and economical life of the village.

Through these activities, Eau vive encourages credit and savings. Villagers finance projects up to 50 % thanks to credit. Trainings are given to villagers :

  • technical trainings: market garden, transformation of primary resources, weaving, dyeing…
  • management: accounting books, management, commercial networks and perspectives…
