WATER AND SANITATION

Water point in Burkina Faso To have water

Water is a major vector of sustainable development. While it is indispensable in everyday life, it also makes it possible to improve health, to produce more, to preserve the environment, to supply schools, and to motivate village organization. Water creates jobs, generates economic activities, and encourages social, political and human evolution.

Water is progress.

Besides providing a water source, Eau Vive develops a social dynamic.

For Eau Vive, a water source is first and foremost a social project.

While it meets people's water requirements in terms of quantity and quality, it especially makes it possible to structure and organize the village communities and to accompany them in a dynamic of sustainable development.

Thus, Eau Vive conducts its projects according to a method that has proven its worth:

  • Village organization- support to the project leaders

The village is in charge of its water source. It is also the client of the construction company.

It involves giving villagers the necessary tools to carry out the projects, direct the work and follow up on the products.

It involves encouraging and reinforcing local companies, by training, professional meetings, to help with the equipment and coordinating demand and supply to reinforce the local market.

  • Technical Support

The villagers are responsible for their building site. Eau Vive brings their technical skills to help them verify the conformity of their work to the specifications previously established.

  • Build the local capacities for sustainable action

Establishing a water point, is not only to build a physical structure, but also to help the village community to reinforce their skills in the upkeep of equipment and the structure by organization and training.
